I was at someone’s house with my coworker. When we left we drove off and realized we left a coffee mug on top of the car but it was gone. My coworker asked if I wanted to go back and get it and I said no because I had more coffee. Then I went to my son’s school to pick him up. It was late and dark and a ton of kids were on the blacktop and they had little stands set up with international food and pastries. I found AJ (my son) and the group he was with was singing karaoke. They gave the microphone to AJ but he was reluctant. So we all sang a song together - it was Jimmy Eat World’s “the middle.” Then AJ and I got in the car but I realized I was drunk. I pulled out of the parking spot and fish tailed trying to leave. So I pulled over and called my coworker and asked if she could pick us up because I couldn’t drive.
